Repeat DUI Offender Arrested Once Again for Felony DUI

Police arrest a Petaluma man after he allegedly caused an accident resulting in an injury Monday night.

A Petaluma driver is once again in some trouble after he allegedly caused a traffic accident while being drunk.

The Petaluma Police Department arrested Sean Boles, 46, on suspicion of felony DUI/with injury shortly after a traffic accident they say he caused Monday night. 

Police said Boles was driving east on East Washington Street Monday around 8 p.m.,  at the Maria Drive intersection. As he approached the intersection, he made a left turn onto Maria drive, directly into the path of a westbound vehicle police said.

Although Boles was facing a solid green light, he failed to yield to oncoming traffic before making the turn according to police. During the ensuing collision, the driver and the passenger in the vehicle that collided with Boles sustained minor injuries.

Boles was transported to Sonoma County Jail with bail set at $100,000, when it was determined he was DUI and under the influence of drugs, and because of his prior DUI arrest, according to police. Boles was previously arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of DUI on May 2006,
