2 Local Students Win Debate Tournament

Congratulations to the St. Vincent Debate team for an INCREDIBLE showing at the 2014 Western JV & Novice National Championships, competing against teams from all over the West and as far away as New Hampshire. In the JV (2nd year debaters only) category

Kylie Clark & Adam Martin took 1st place, winning the whole championship, which includes several major scholarship offers toward their summer debate camps!

3 SV debaters also earned speaker awards in this division: Julia Hunter (8th), Adam Martin (9th) and Kylie Clark (14th). Honorable mention also to Julia Hunter & Alex Dombrowski for an even record, being 10th seed and only missing elimination rounds by 1 debate!

In the novice division (1st year debaters) honorable mention to Joey Clark & Cole Parker and William Heriot & Noah Koch for their even records, also only one debate away from breaking to elimination rounds.
