Congrats to SV Debate for a great weekend from Coast to Coast!

In New York: Ricky Young & Adam Martin competed at the Bronx Round Robin, an invitation only extended to 8 teams in the country.  And after that, the boys earned a winning record at the New York City Invitational and advanced to elimination rounds where they were knocked out on a controversial 2-1 decision.  Additionally Ricky was named 4th speaker at the tournament and Adam 18th, out of 170 high school debaters from across the country.  
And in California: At the Cal State Fullerton tournament, in Varsity, Brittany Gamlen & Sky Doble were 5-1 in prelims and advanced to elimination rounds.  Becca Grant & Kylie Clark and MJ Lozano & JD Cox also earned winning records and only missed advancing on speaker points.  Honorable mention to Julia Anderson & Anna Griffin and Johnny Ji & Ryan Lowry for "batting .500".  In JV Julia Hunter & Dominique Rodas also earned a winning record.
Congrats to all the debaters for their hard work this weekend.  Next up, members of the Varsity squad head to Las Vegas for the Meadows Invitational next weekend.
