Give & Get Back with IrieFuse this holiday season

Kickstarter campaigns are becoming commonplace for enterprising musicians with material to share and little capital to make their dreams reality. The music business has greatly changed with the Internet and digital downloads that getting a studio contract to produce an album is largely a thing of the past.

Many established acts have even bypassed that avenue to start their own labels. Marin County-based IrieFuse has begun its own capital campaign for its first full-length studio album. Riding on the tails of its successful Sun is Rising EP and a series of festival and club shows the reggae and rock group is counting on its ever-growing fan base to help fund its new album entitled Give & Get Back.

The disc will include band favorites such as I’ll Be Your Root, Press On, Action Reaction and The Man.

According to band member Ryan Lee, the way the campaign works is you can decide “whether to help a little or a lot.” For just one dollar receive a copy of the digital album. A copy of the album and digital downloads can be had for $15. And there are a myriad of other packages to choose from including T-shirts, autographed albums, VIP tickets to the CD release party, or even a personal party with the band. All of these make perfect holiday gifts for any music lover.

IrieFuse is ranked number one on ReverbNation with its grooves compared to artists such as Sublime, Rebelutionand Iration. The band’s influence is clearly roots, island and reggae, ska, dub, rock, and hip-hop. Mix that all together and you have that original sound that is IrieFuse.

The fresh and original sound can be attributed to its band members: Joe Endoso of Novato, lead vocals and guitar; Ryan Lee of Petaluma, keyboards; Patrick Dwyer of Novato, keyboards; Taylor Stecker of Santa Rosa, lead guitar; Michael Gil of San Rafael, bass; and Scott Bohm of Novato, drums. This group of long friends began performing together in 2011.
