'It's Gonna Happen' — The Grain at Zodiacs

A unique blend of rock and roll and the blues has garnered the Petaluma musical group The Grain, a favorite status among local music lovers in the North Bay. The band will share the stage with Saffeell at Petaluma’s newest nightspot, Zodiacs, at 256 Petaluma Blvd., N. on Friday, April 18 at 9 p.m. The Grain includes a quartet of talented musicians that blend covers and original tunes with a beat that just makes you want to dance. It includes: Pete Delaney, guitar and songwriter (Avocado Sundae); Graham Stearns, bass (Tacklebox); Erik Stieg, guitar  (Swampthang); and drummer Sean England (Critical Measures). Some of The Grain’s original songs that resonate with local audiences include: It’s Gonna Happen, Eastern Sierra, and Inorganic Matter. Renditions of Country Roads, Down in Hollywood and Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover are also popular with their fans. The Grain has been playing at local clubs and festivals since 2009 including with appearances the Petaluma Art & Garden Festival, the Petaluma Music Festival, the Sonoma County Fair and the Sonoma-Marin County Fair.
