Olson Pitches No-Hitter for St. Vincent Softball Win Over Potter Valley

Senior Hayley Olson pitched a no-hitter yesterday in an 18-0 league win over Potter Valley. The game went only 5 innings as St. Vincent was ahead 18-0 at the end of 2 innings. Pounding out 19 hits in the victory, the Mustangs were led at the plate by Haley Antonini 3×3 (3B), Ursyla Baumgarten 3×4 (HR, 2 RBI), Hannah Sarlatte (3B, HR, 5 RBI), Rainey Henry 3×3 (2x2B, HR, 6 RBI), and Amanda Yarger 3×4. The current overall record for the team is 6-7 and in league 5-0. The Mustangs are clearly “the team to beat” in the NCL II. On Tuesday of next week, St. Vincent might have a challenge to their league crown vs. a strong squad from Calistoga. The game will be on home turf which should be an added advantage for the Mustangs. Coach Don Jensen has then scheduled a tough game vs. Santa Rosa for the following day, so things could be very interesting next week.
