St. Vincent Volleyball are in "The Pink" vs. Upper Lake

The Mustang annual event of "Dig Pink" was a huge success this year with pink seen all aound the school and gym. Even the players sported pink uniforms when playing league opponent Upper Lake. Nothing could be better than volleyball and showing the support of breast cancer awareness.
The JV team started off the evening winning the first game 25-12, losing the second 15-25, and winning the 3rd 15-10. Clutch serving by Frosh Mary Deasy and terrific net play by Frosh Haley Antonini helped to win the third game. Wearing pink jerseys helped to put the magic into the team to give their all in the winning effort.
The magic carried over into the Varsity match with a successful finale 25-12, 25-15, 31-29. After the first game went easily, the second game required some marvelous serving by Jr. Mary Cerf and Jr. Taylor Cox stepping her defense up to secure the win. Third game struggles had the Mustangs down 15-23 and then Sr.  Brooke Montgomery served 7 unanswered points to close the gap. The team did not want the "pink" evening to end, so they had a hard fought battle to win that third game 31-29. This win ties Roseland Prep for 1st place in the NCLII league and sets up the epic match of the year vs. Roseland on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at St. Vincent.
