St. Vincent Women's Soccer Loses NCS game to Sonoma Academy

The Lady Mustangs suffered their 3rd loss of the season vs. rival Sonoma Academy 1-0 in yesterday's semifinal game of the NCS championships. As per usual, these two teams battled back and forth on the pitch until Sonoma Academy scored in the 25th minute of the second half. It was again a breakaway by Sonoma Academy that secured the win. Keeper Jacalyn Murphy had numerous saves in the game to help preserve the tie until the lone goal went in. The Muistangs finished the season with this hard fought battle, but a win just wasn't meant to be. The past four seasons has seen St. Vincent as one of the top four teams in the NCS Division III womens soccer pool. It is a testament to the six graduating seniors of the team.
