Take a European Stay-cation this summer by hosting an exchange student! Educational Homestay Programs, a non-profit organization, invites all interested Petaluma residents, to become “Citizen Diplomats” and host an international high school student from June 25th to July 21st, 2014. Students are coming from Norway, Spain, and Italy.
Students will attend English language and American culture lessons weekday mornings at Sonoma Academy High School in Santa Rosa. School-bus transportation to and from Healdsburg and Sonoma Academy will be provided. In the afternoons, students are led on various fun, cultural activities to familiarize them with the beauty and culture of our surrounding area. Host families are invited to join us in these activities!
Open your home and heart with a place at the table and an available bed. Students speak English, come fully insured, and bring their own spending money. Students do not need their own room. EF can provide a temporary bed for a host family that has the space, but is in need of an extra bed. EHP offers travel benefits for hosting.
