Community Clean Up, Historic Homes and More This Weekend

Check out what's happening this Friday-Sunday around Petaluma

 

On Friday, de-stress from the long week by taking a free yoga class at BodyWorks on Second Street. BodyWorks offers different types of yoga including Beginning Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Stress Relief, Gentle Yoga, Hatha Flow and Slow Flow. Part of the National Yoga Month. Check website for all class offerings.

On Saturday, join Friends of the Petaluma River, your neighbors and other Petaluma residents for the starting 8:30am. Pick up trash around your neighborhood or adopt a portion of the river to clean up. Check in at 260 Water Street (Suite H).

If puttering around in the garden is more your style, take a Strawberry Workshop at the Petaluma Bounty Farm at 55 Shasta Avenue. Learn how to plant and grow delicious strawberries and get five strawberry crowns. $40.

Later that afternoon, head to the Petaluma Arts Center for Petaluma Palooza starting 2pm. Part business expo, part learning fair, the event seeks to spur connections, creativity and commerce. Free.

On Sunday, put on a good pair of walking shoes and explore some of Petaluma's historic homes and farms during the Heritage Homes' Biennial Summer Tour. Tours are led by volunteer docents who will make the homes come alive with stories about their former tenants. Tickets $20.
