Escape the Rain With Lots of Great Indoor Activities This Weekend

And a hike for the really brave

On Friday, author Tiffany Baker reads from her new book “The Gilly Salt Sisters,” a tale of dreams, family secrets and betrayals. 7pm at Copperfield’s Books.

Weather permitting, enjoy a guided nature walk at Bouverie Preserve, a 535-acre, private, non-profit nature preserve in Glen Ellen. The walks range from two to five miles and all ages are welcome. The walks begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 1:30 p.m.  Wear comfortable shoes.

Get your green on at Maguire’s St. Patrick’s celebration on Saturday. Festivities include a beer garden, bag pipes, Irish dancing and traditional Irish dishes. Starts at noon.

How much do you know about the Roma people? This weekend, escape the rain by ducking into the brand new exhibit at the Petaluma Historical Museum focusing on the art, history and culture of the Roma people. Admission is free.
