Man on the Street: Regency, yes or no?

After seven years of late-night city council meetings, Environmental Impact Reports and a lawsuit, the controversial Regency development will break ground this spring. Supporters have described the project as necessary to raise sales and tax revenues and many want the convenience of a Target in town.
Opponents say big-box stores like Target will change the small-town feel Petaluma enjoys and add traffic to the already congested East Washington Street.
