Let the Light Shine In

Take a crack at where this was shot.

How well do you really know your hometown? If you've been here a few years and get out of the house much, this object might look pretty familiar. Can you pinpoint its location?

Each weekend, Novato Patch will take a photo in town and ask you to tell us where it was taken. If you know, enlighten everybody else by sharing your knowledge in the comments section of this story.

What's at stake? The first correct responder gets a prize from the face of Novato Patch. Even after the correct answer is given by posting a comment, you can add to the conversation if you have the inside scoop on the details or history of that spot. Also, make sure to e-mail the editor at brent.ainsworth@patch.com so you can arrange a meeting to get the prize. Or it can be popped in the mail.

Think you know where this is? Add a comment below. Take a crack at it!

Hangers at Hamilton.

Congrats, Novato Camper, who was more specific than the others and is declared this week's winner. It's the Coast Guard hanger. I'll update a panned-out version of the photo and a locator map. Novato Camper, drop me an e-mail at brent.ainsworth@patch.com so we can connect and you can claim your prize.

Isn't "hangar 2" more specific than "hanger next to hanger 3/4"? Also, according to Webster's, a hanger is "that on which something is hung" where a hangar is "a repair shed or shelter of aircraft." That is a hangar.

For the record, Robert's answer of Hangar No. 2 was just as correct as Novato Camper's, and then he's getting a bag of schwag as well! The answer I was looking for was the Coast Guard hangar, but both were right, and Robert's answer landed first. Well done.
