Comedy Night, Burlesque and More This Weekend

Check out what's happening in Petaluma this weekend

 

Listen to local authors at Aqus’ Speakeasy Literary Salon on Thursday starting 7pm. Tamim Ansary, Amanda McTigue, Waights Taylor Jr., Susanna Solomon and Michelle Wing. Attendees may bring a short piece of writing and enter the drawing for two open mic slots of four minutes each. $5. 189 H St.

Get in touch with your inner diva at the Body Burlesque class starting this Saturday  at Yoga One.

Learn the basics of burlesque, meet new friends and get a great work out. The class is the first of five classes that will culminate in a Valentine’s Day graduation performance in downtown Petaluma. $85 for five classes. 7:30pm.

Need more laughter in your life? Check out the Rocks’ Comedy Night this Saturday starting 6:30pm. Moody McCarthy, whose credits include Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Last Comic Standing, headlines.

Jason Love kicks off the show. Come early, enjoy free snacks and prepare to laugh your tail off. DJ Dance Music by DJ Stevie B follows the show. $10.

Support a good cause at the Sixth Annual Band Night for MentorMe Petaluma Saturday. Enjoy music by the H.O.T.S and sample culinary offerings from Cucina Paradiso, RisiBisi, P.S. To Go and more! Gourmet pizza will also be made on-site courtesy of Peter Markey.

A no-host bar for beer and wine will be on hand along with a Game Room with foosball, ping pong and more! Put on your dancing shoes and keep rocking in the new year while raising money for MentorMe Petaluma.

Parks and Recreation has a huge variety of summer camps. Kids Klub (1st-5th grade) and Camp K2Read More (6th-8th grade) are both traditional summer day camps with 1/2 day, daily and weekly options.
