Art Journaling

Art journals are a visual map to self-discovery. I believe that every person has a creative spirit/inner artist. My goal for the class is that all students embrace their creative voice. Art journals chronicle and reflect the artist’s life. We will use a variety of techniques, images and words to encourage students to use their journals as a visual map of their exploration. The class will provide a foundation of safety to nurture the creative spirit in each of us.

(No art experience necessary!)

Instructor Lynda Cochran is a working mixed media and art doll creator. A credentialed teacher with over 20 years of teaching children and adults of various levels and ages, Lynda has taught two previous classes at the Petaluma Arts Center: Date with a Doll and Whimsical Collaged Houses.
