Tara Firma Farms

Jon Young is one of the foremost authorities on
tracking and wilderness awareness in the United
States. Inspired by his mentoring with Tom Brown, Jr.,
author of "The Tracker" series, and fueled by his
studies in natural history and anthropology, Jon has
pioneered blending Native Mentoring techniques with
nature, holistic tracking skills and cultural repair.
Recently Jon made a third journey to one of the last
San Bushman communities living their original patterns.
This ancient culture still lived and thrives directly from
the land, but is now in the sunset of its existence.
Despite this sad reality, Jon’s message   from the
Bushman is one of hope, inspiration and vision for how
we can incorporate the lessons learned from the
Bushman into our modern lifestyles.
