Commission on the Status of Women 2011 Women’s History Month Luncheon and Scholarship Fundraiser “Women Honoring Women”
Women’s History Month has special meaning for the County of Sonoma Commission on the Status of Women because the very first "Women's History Week" was observed in 1978 through the efforts of the Education Task Force of the Sonoma County Commission on the Status of Women. Since 198o, through the efforts of Molly Murphy MacGregor and the National Women’s History Project, the month of March has been observed nationally as Women’s History Month

The Sonoma County Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) was established in 1975 to promote equal rights and opportunities that enhance the quality of life for all women and girls and to address issues of discrimination and prejudice that negatively affect women in Sonoma County.
