Even though Petaluma is a long way from New Orleans, we love a good party, especially one where costumes are encouraged. On Tuesday, local musicians celebrate the traditional end of Mardi Gras with a Brass Band Parade through downtown Petaluma starting 5:30pm outside McNears.
Live music includes Maria Muldaur (“Midnight at the Oasis”), John Allair (Van Morrison’s keyboardist), and other musicians. McNear's will have drink specials, Louisiana cuisine and prizes for the best Mardi Gras attire. $11 advance. 765-2121
