Annual event sponsored by the Petaluma Yacht Club. Runs from the Petaluma Marina (near Sheraton) and parades up river to the Turning Basin. Parade is open to all decorated boats from kayaks to large yachts and attracts many with no entry fee. Shores are lined with thousands of local and visiting folks enjoying the free attraction. One of the nicest and most upbeat events of the holiday season. The docks at the turning basin are off limits while the boats are being tied by the Sea Scouts. Afterwards all are welcome to view the boats many of which stay overnight.
