SRJC's Petaluma Campus Screens "Seneca Falls" for Women's History Month

As part of Santa Rosa Junior College commemoration of Women’s History Month throughout March, SRJC will present a community film screening of Seneca Falls on Monday, March 14, 2011, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the Carole Ellis Auditorium on the Petaluma Campus. A pre film reception will start at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

This moving film documents the life-changing journey of a multicultural teen theater troupe as they travel to Seneca Falls, New York to perform before an audience of thousands that come together for the 150th anniversary celebration of the first women's rights convention in 1848.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Louise Vance, a question and answer session will follow the screening at 8:00 p.m., including some members of the cast.
