"The V Concert"

"The V Concert” A presentation of the A to Z Concert Series and benefit for Cinnabar Opera Theater

Award-winning soprano, Carrie Hennessey of Sacramento, returns to Sonoma County to perform Heitor Villa-Lobos’ Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 for Voice and Eight Cellos in “The V Concert.”  The concert, part of the “A to Z Concert Series,” is a benefit for Cinnabar Theater’s opera program.

In 2010, Hennessey received raves from audiences and critics for her role as Emmeline in Cinnabar Theater’s West Coast premiere presentation of  the American opera “Emmeline,” by Tobias Picker.

“The V Concert” will be presented at 4 p.m. Sept. 10 at a private garden located on Queens Lane in Petaluma. The program features works by composers whose last names begin with the letter “V” - including Heitor Villa-Lobos’ Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 for Voice and Eight Cellos and Vivaldi.
