Why Go: There’s so much going on in honor of Fred Wiseman’s historic flight and then, of course, there’s the reenactment of the flight itself, all done in the shape of a musical G clef.

GABBY LALA  ALBUM RELASE PARTY

Where/When: Mystic Theatre, 23 Petaluma Blvd. N, Petaluma, Friday 8pm           

Why Go: Petaluma’s very own premieres her new album I Know You Know I Know, on which all electronic sounds were made entirely using a pink Nintendo DS Lite. Also, check out our preview article on LaLa.

WOODCARVING DEMONSTRATION

 Where/When: Petaluma Arts Center, 230 Lakeville Street, Petaluma, Saturday 1pm-3pm

Why Go: Because you've always wanted to make your own table. Now you can learn from the pros, by watching Michael Cullen demonstrate the art of wood carving.

FRIENDS OF THE SONOMA LIBRARY BOOK SALE

Where/When: Sonoma Valley Regional Library, 755 West Napa St.,Sonoma, Saturday 10am-5:30pm

Why Go: Because the prices can’t be beat.  Books, CDs, audio books, videos.  Go and uncover some treasures.
