 33RD ANNUAL BARREL TASTING

Where/When: Various Wine Road member wineries in the Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys, Northern Sonoma County, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11am-4pm  

Why Go: Here’s your chance to taste wines that are still in the barrel and talk to the winemakers.  Over 100 wineries participate.

Pricing: $30 per person, $5 designated drivers (includes no wine tasting)

HOLLYWOOD & VINES: THE MOVIE MAGIC OF TARZAN

Where/When: Smith Rafael Film Center,1118 Fourth St., San Rafael, Sunday 7pm

Why Go: Want to know how Tarzan’s classic yell was created?  Explore some of the secrets behind the making of Tarzan and His Mate (1934). Check out how technology and sound effects were used and then watch a new 35mm print from the Academy Film Archive.

Pricing: $10.25 general admission, $5.50 members

BLOOMFIELD VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPT. PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Where/When: Bloomfield Fire Hall, 6600 Bloomfield Rd., Petaluma, Sunday 7am-11am

Why Go: Need an excuse to get up early?  How about hotcakes and eggs?  Proceeds help maintain critical equipment so it’s a win-win.

THE REPO SHOW

Where/When: Arts Guild of Sonoma, 140 East Sonoma St., Sonoma, Friday, Opening Reception 6pm-9pm

Why Go: It’s opening night and this green-themed show is made of at least 70 percent recycled materials.  Come and see what local artists are up to. Stay for the music and party.
