Why Go: Feeling nostalgic?  This cover band hits all the right notes, so be ready for a night of shakin’ and pure cheese. Wondering what to wear? How about those electric leg warmers or acid wash jeans?  Go for it.  You know you want to.

CONTINENT OF LIGHT BOOK LAUNCH

Where/When: Pelican Art Gallery, 143 N. Petaluma Blvd, Petaluma, Saturday 2-5pm

Why Go: Because these talented contributors are celebrating the launch of Continent of Light with a reading. Join them as they read poems that take on social and cultural issues that affect us all.

DAY FOR WOMEN

Where/When: Petaluma Community Center, 320 N. McDowell Blvd., Petaluma, Saturday, 8:30 -2 p.m.

Why Go: This event, sponsored by the Women’s Cancer Awareness Group is all about empowering and inspiring women to lead healthier lives. With keynote speakers and workshops, this day proves to not only informative but also inspiring.  Find out who is chosen as Petaluma’s Woman of the year.
