Kreayshawn Kicks Off 25-City Tour in Petaluma

Twenty-two-year-old rapper catapulted to fame in 2011 after her anti-brand manifesto "Gucci Gucci" went viral, getting more than 30 million hits on You Tube.

The Bay-Area-bred Kreayshawn, who shot to fame last year after her catchy “Gucci Gucci” video went viral, is kicking off her cross-country tour in Petaluma, playing at The Phoenix on Saturday, September 22.

Since Kreayshawn, born Natassia Gail Zolot, released her designer bashing manifesto, encouraging girls to have their own style and not be a slave to brand names, she has become rap’s it-girl.

Snoop Dog has called her the missing link between “black dudes who make rap and white girls who like it.” 

Last year, Kreyshawn, whose trademark thick eyeliner is reminiscent of Amy Winehouse, was nominated Artist of the Year by MTV Music Awards and has signed a contract with Columbia Records.
