Museum Kicks Off Exhibit About Navajo Code Talkers

Features artifacts, multimedia presentations and speakers

On Saturday, Petaluma Historical Museum kicks off its new exhibit focused on the Navajo Code Talkers.

Native Words, Native Warriors tells the remarkable story of soldiers from more than a dozen tribes who used their Native languages while in service in the U.S. military.

The exhibit features a collection of Native American artifacts from the Western United States loaned by private lenders as well as ongoing multimedia presentations and speakers, and promises to educate and enlighten!

The show runs from April 21 through July 1, 2012. Museum hours are Thursday to Saturday 10-4pm and Sunday 12-3pm.  Admission: $5/general, $3/seniors. The museum is located on 20 Fourth Street, across from Acre Coffee.
