Sonoma's Cohn Festival Featuring Celebrity Performers

The Doobie Brothers, Heart, Bad Company and the Gin Blossoms will be among the featured performers at the 27th Annual B.R. Cohn Charity Events Fall Music Festival Weekend.

Promoters of one of Sonoma County's most eagerly anticipated annual entertainment events on Tuesday announced a star-studded lineup of musical performances.

The 27th Annual B.R. Cohn Charity Events Fall Music Festival Weekend will feature recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Heart, The Doobie Brothers, Bad Company with Paul Rodgers, the Gin Blossoms and Pablo Cruise, among others, at the two-day event.

The Sept. 21-22 concert is put on by vintner, musical artist manager and philanthropist B.R. Cohn.

“This is one of the strongest line-ups in years,” Cohn said in a prepared statement.

A Sept. 20 charity auction dinner will be prepared by award-winning chef Mark Start and will feature an acoustic performance by Pablo Cruise with three original members.

A celebrity golf tournament will be held at Sonoma Golf Club on Sept. 23. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with a 10 a.m. tee-off. Green fees are $275.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit several charities including the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation, Redwood Empire Food Bank, The Guardsmen and Sonoma’s Field of Dreams.

Cohn has raised more than $6 million for local and national charities including national veterans organizations, a spokesman said.

General admission tickets cost $89 and $160 for a 2-day pass. VIP ticket prices range from $350 to $1,000. The concert will be held at the B.R. Cohn Winery Amphitheatre with off-site parking available at the Sonoma Developmental Center.
