Weekend Planner: Horses, Zappa Tunes and Antique Furniture

Check out what's happening around town for the weekend of July 27 through July 29.

Today, check out the , featuring a unicyclist, sword swallower and machete juggler at the Rocks.

The show is the last stop in the U.S. before the roadshow goes to the world famous Festival Fringe in Edinburgh, Scotland. In addition to circus tricks, the  show includes curious oddities and artifacts from Shea's Coney Island by the Sea Collection. These include Chupacabra roadkill, stingrays, frog playing bands and more. Friday 9pm at Rocks Bar & Lounge. 146 Kentucky St. $10

Also on Friday, , a band featuring three former members of the Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention, bring their special blend of musical mayhem to the Mystic.

The group can be described as a blend of rock and jazz and is stopping in town as part of their cross country tour  The group’s set with feature many beloved Zappa compositions such as "I Am The Slime", "Trouble Everyday", "Village Of The Sun", "Big Swifty," "Carolina Hard Core Ecstasy" and many more. $25. Doors open at 7:30pm. Show starts at 8:30pm.

It’s not every week that a garage sale makes it into the weekend planner, but if you are on a hunt for interesting designer furniture, this one looks promising. Featuring high-end quality furniture, books and vintage and unique household items. Saturday and Sunday, 9am-1pm. 953 Martin Circle.

Then on Sunday, calling all horse enthusiasts. Enjoy a demonstration polo match, horse jumping contest, horse breed demonstrations, western dressage and more at the , held at the San Francisco Polo Club.

There will also be fun events and activities for children, live music and art and crafts from local artists. 

Proceeds from the event will be used to support Rotary projects that improve the quality of life for children in Sonoma County and around the world. 

$20 adults/$10 children.
