Friday:

Tonight's film is the classic 'Back to the Future' and in addition to the free movie, the band, Clean Slate, brings the funk. Additionally, there are fun children's activities, a barbecue and raffle prizes.

Saturday:

How can holding the tension of opposites lead to a life of abundance, healing, creativity and wholeness? Cultural historian, mythologist and psychology professor Kayleen Asbo will present a lecture-slideshow on the alchemical pathways of transformation as seen through cross-cultural mythology, the architecture of Chartres Cathedral, art from Ancient Greece and the Italian Renaissance, Mozart's opera The Magic Flute and The Divine Comedy of Dante.

Saturday: BEYOND Speaker

Nolan Gasser is a critically acclaimed composer, pianist, and musicologist – most notably, the architect of Pandora Radio’s Music Genome Project. His original works have been performed in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Alice Tully Hall, La Salle Pleyel (Paris), and the Rose Bowl (Pasadena), among many others.

If you go: This show is going, going, and almost gone, so don’t miss it. The talk begins at 3 p.m.so get to the museum early and take in the fantastic BEYOND exhibit. Tickets have been reduced to $8, $5 for museum members and seniors, with all kids 12 and under free. The , 20 Fourth Street in Petaluma.

Monday:

The and Petaluma Kiwanis are proud to once again host the July 4thFireworks Celebration with the best light show yet! With live music, tarot card readers, balloon art face painting, and awesome food booths there’s something for everyone in the family. The Opening Ceremony begins at 4:15pm and the music kicks in at 4:30pm with Clean Slate B.R.O.S., belting out a mix of blues, rock, oldies and soul. 

Then get ready to be rocked by Rock Skool, starting at 6pm. The fireworks begin at dusk or around 9:15 pm.

If you go: Admission is $2 per person and children under 6 are free. The fun is from 4 till 10 pm at the . The festivities will start earlier than the fireworks, so come on by and enjoy some food, drinks, and dessert from local concessionaires.

Make sure to bring low lawn chairs, blankets, warm clothes, and flashlights. BBQ grills, alcohol, pets, contraband or fireworks of any kind are not permitted. Parking is free.
