Yoga in the Park, Bees and Celebrating Fathers This Weekend

Here are a couple of Petaluma Patch's picks for weekend happenings around town

There is nothing better than yoga outdoors, mixed with the sounds of children playing, birds chirping and feeling the sun and breeze on your face. On Saturday, Petaluma yoga studio Body Works will be offering free yoga at McNear Park (near corner of F St. & 11th St.) from 10:30am-12:00pm. Followed by a Potluck.

Come to meet new friends and socialize with old friends at the Aqus Community pub crawl this Saturday starting 6pm.

This month, the focus is on arts, as the group visits several Petaluma galleries along with Copperfield's new 'Underground' before ending the night at the Petaluma Arts Center with live music and dancing.  Wear comfy shoes!

Celebrate fathers at Whole Foods barbeque and vendor fair on Saturday 12-4pm. $5 BBQ, solar-powered gifts for dad and photos against a Western ranch-themed backdrop.

On Sunday, check out “Le Tour de Hives,” a fun event put on by the Sonoma County Beekeepers Association on Sunday from 10am to 3pm.Visit a variety of backyard beehives and beekeepers and learn about why bees are crucial to keeping the ecosystem in balance. There’s also an option to do the tour by bicycle. $15 per person/$40 per family.
