Aqus Cafe Encouraging Out of the Box Thinking, Entrepreneurship

Holding free workshops on innovation, starting your own business

and North Bay iHub are teaming up on workshops that encourage would-be entrepreneurs to take their projects from daydream to reality.

On Tuesday, June 26, Brian Ostrovsky, an "Entrepreneur-in-Residence" at Sonoma State University’s School of Business and Economics and founder of Locable will host a free workshop at the coffeeshop about how to find a good partner for your next business venture.

What skills does your business need that you can’t provide? How do you find someone who has them? How can you vet each other? How will you split the pie? The workshop will give you a framework to discover those answers, define who and what you’re looking for, and start the process of finding the co-founder(s) that can make your business a success.

The talk starts at 7:30pm at Aqus Cafe, 189 H St. in Petaluma. Then, on Tuesday, July 31, the series presents: “Finding Your “Why”-- Your Foundation to Long Term Success.” Both are free and RSVP is not required to attend.

The talks are part of the Business Essentials Series, an initiative to educate entrepreneurial-minded people on everything from writing a business plan to perfecting their elevator speech (also known as your 30 seconds to wow a potential investor) to securing funding.
