CrossCheck Moving to Petaluma

Company got its start in Petaluma; will hire 20 more people in the coming months

CrossCheck, the third largest check approval business in the country, is moving its offices from Rohnert Park to the former Cisco Systems building in North Petaluma come September.

CrossCheck has 170 employees and will hire an additional 20 full-time positions in the coming months. They will also be joined by Optio Solutions, a subsidiary of CrossCheck, which will share a separate office space in the building located at 1440 N. McDowell Blvd.

The reason behind the move is the great deal the company was able to negotiate with Cornerstone properties, the owner of the building.

“It’s a favorable time to be renegotiating a lease,” said Dave Siembieda, President and CEO of CrossCheck. “Petaluma is a good city to be in and being on the north side of city is convenient because it has a lot of access points, especially for people coming from Santa Rosa.”

Siembieda, who has been with the company for 20 years, said he was excited to be coming back to where CrossCheck got its start in 1983 before moving to Rohnert Park in 1987.

“We’re coming back to where our roots are.”

CrossCheck offers check approval and guarantee services, electronic check processing and deposit services, among others. Siembieda said the company would soon be looking to fill positions in customer service, human resources, sales collection and IT services.
