"Dine and Donate" Event Tonight for Conover-Sullivan Children

Will donate a portion of their proceeds to the trust fund set up for the four children

More than a dozen Petaluma restaurants are holding a dine and donate event today to benefit the Conover and Sullivan children whose

The large event is the brainchild of John Slowik, owner of Blu American Eatery and who attended Petaluma High School with Kim and Kevin Conover.

“After the tragedy happened, I couldn’t sleep at night,” said Slowik. “I was thinking ‘What could I do?’”

Today his restaurant, along with Graffiti, Sugo, Café Zazzle, Wild Goat Bistro, Luma, La Dolce Vita, Brixx, Jennie Low's, Tres Hombres, Cordoza's Deli and Caffe Giostra have pledged to donate a portion of the day’s sales to a trust account that has been set up for the four children the couple left behind.
