Enphase Kicks Off Cross Country Tour

Holding open house Monday, April 30 for installers, contractors and other solar enthusiasts

Petaluma solar company Enphase Energy is launching a cross country roadshow aimed at telling the world about its microinverter technology that has already received a lot of attention in clean energy circles.

Traditionally, solar panels are connected together in a series circuits fed into a single, central inverter device. What Enphase has done is replace large central inverters with small micro-electronics that attach to each solar panel and that allow each panel to operate independently, making them more efficient.

The annual roadshow, which is free and open to the public, kicks off Monday, April 30, at the company’s headquarters at 1420 N. McDowell Blvd. and will continue over the next three months across the United States and Canada, stopping in 33 cities.

“It’s basically one big tailgating party,” says Enphase spokeswoman Kady Cooper.

At the Petaluma kick off, solar enthusiasts can spend an afternoon learning the latest about solar installation, meet building contractors and get hands-on training and demonstrations of Enphase’s Microinverter System.
