New Zealand Company Doubling Down on Petaluma

Sistema purchased a 94,000-square-foot lot on Southpoint Boulevard.

A New Zealand plastic kitchenware company is doubling down on Petaluma.

Sistema Plastics purchased a 94,000-square-foot lot on 775 Southpoint Boulevard earlier this month, the North Bay Business Journal reports.

The company move into its new digs in October, the report said.

The lot was formerly occupied by Pomegranate Communications.

The company's United States operations are currently headquartered on 1455 North McDowell Boulevard.

Off-the-charts sales growth precipitated the move according to the report, noting the company's sales have grown 400 percent over the past six years and project to double in the next three years.

“We’ve reached full capacity at the current building,” Sistema US co-owner Simon Kirby told the North Bay Business Journal.

“Had we not purchased the building, it would have impacted our growth.”
