Togo's Franchise Coming to Petaluma in 2014

No other Togo's locations are currently open in Petaluma.

A Togo's Sandwiches franchise is headed to Petaluma, and is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2014.

The store, which will be located at 441 N. McDowell Blvd., will be operated by Jeff and Toresa Stikes. The Santa Rosa couple opened a Togo's in Windsor in 2011, according to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

The nearest Togo's is currently in Santa Rosa. As many readers have pointed out, a Togo's was previously located in Petaluma but has since closed.

That's great! I preferred TOGO'S over the other sandwich shops! It is a return to Petaluma!! It even shared a home with Baskin Robbin -- where t mobile now resides!

Good news. I just commented a couple of days ago on how nice it would be to have Togo's back in town! Their hot pastrami sandwich cannot be beat!

I'm sorry to say this is not the first time Togos has been in Petaluma. I've been in Petaluma over 15 years And Togo's and Baskin-Robbins used to share space in the shopping center where Kmart is. Was sad to see it shut down.

As others have pointed out, we used to have a Togo's in Petaluma!

Thanks for clarifying that, folks. Do you think this franchise should do anything differently in order to be successful?

Let's ask Paul Lucchesi how he feels about this.

Ray's will still be the best sandwich in town.

Lucchesi Deli, Mr. Pickles, Lombardi's Deli etc. are all well established in town and I welcome Togo's return to Petaluma as an additional choice.

Veronika and Cody: Togo's actually started in Petaluma many, many moons ago as I can remember spinning "donuts" in my car in the parking lot we now know as Whole Foods when it was Roger Wilco and where Kwei Bin is use to be Togo's. It then made it's way to between K-mart & CVS right where Don Poncho's is located. After that it migrated to where T-Mobile now resides (it was a combo Togo's & Baskin-Robbins).

When the old Petaluma Togo's closed, I cried for a month. This is great news. Now that I won't have to drive to Santa Rosa, the carbon footprint of my pastrami will be significantly reduced.
