Steve and Diana need housing

Our two wonderful maintenance employees need rental housing soon - can you help?

Our two wonderful maintenance people at The Plaza North Shopping Center are in dire need of local housing.  Steve and Diana have been looking fruitlessly for the last five weeks since their current house went up for sale.  They have less than three weeks left.

We hired both of them five years ago while they were residents of COTS, our local homeless shelter. We were running an internship program with COTS at the time, hiring their residents to learn job and life skills while working on our landscaping and maintenance.

I saw Diana for the first time when she was walking up the sidewalk to the management office for her interview. I decided that she was hired before she even opened the door and came in. When we were looking for a second maintenance person, she introduced us to Steve, whom I also hired on the spot. Both times, my instincts were 100% correct – both as employees and as people, they are unbelievable - the real deal.

Needless to say, Steve and Diana have stellar references from us and from their current landlord.  They have a small cat.  They take good care of this shopping center and they will take equally good care of your rental. Their credit is not 100% but they have been steadily improving it as part of their life goals. They pay their rent on time and their current landlord will vouch for that.

They are looking for either the two of them (1 bedroom or studio) for up to $1000 a month, or for three of them (based on taking on their current, fully employed roommate with them) for up to $1500 a month.  They need to find housing in either Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Cotati, or Penngrove.

Please let me know if you know of anything at all.  They haven’t worked this hard to hit a brick wall now. You can email me at office@plazanorthpetaluma.com, please put "housing" in the subject line.
