Barn Dance, Free Day on the River and Spring Tea This Weekend

Check out some of the weekend highlights from Petaluma Patch's events calendar

On Saturday, listen to some folk stories from master story teller Ane Carla Rovetta at Tara Firma Farm’s Bull Sessions in the Barn. Then enjoy a potluck dinner while listening to live music and dance the night away at a barn dance. $10-20 sliding scale.

On Sunday, kick off the summer with the annual free day on the river, courtesy of Petaluma Small Craft Center.

From 9am to 3pm, try kayaking, stand-up paddling, Hawaiian outrigger canoeing, rowing, pedal boats and other water craft. Food, music and displays on the lawn of Foundry Wharf, at the end of Second Street. Rowing at the North Bay Rowing Club docks across the parking lot.

Casual childcare offered for limited periods while adults try various small craft. 

The free event is organized by the Petaluma Small Craft Center, which hopes to build a small craft rental center at the Turning Basin along with a community boathouse.

Also on Sunday, the Petaluma Mothers’ Club is hosting its 10th Annual Spring Tea and Silent Auction. Spend a relaxing afternoon with women friends, your sister or mother or make new friends while sampling champagne, cocktails, delicious food and dessert treats. Tickets $25.
