Cruisin' the Boulevard, Beer Circus and Mandolin Concert All This Weekend

Friday evening, check out classic cars at Salute to American Graffiti kick off event at Plaza North Shopping Center on North McDowell. Music, dancing and local vendors. 4-8pm. The fun continues Saturday at Fourth and C streets, featuring nearly 400 classic cars from 10am to 8pm. The cruise for registered vehicles starts at 4pm.

Also this weekend, catch Doomfield, an electro/acoustic improvisational duo playing at the Petaluma Arts Center Friday at 7pm and again at 8pm. The performance is part of the ongoing Cosmic Terrain art exhibit featuring local graffiti artists.  

On Sunday, head to Lagunitas for the 5th annual Beer Circus, a benefit for music programs at Petaluma schools.   $40 entry gets you four 12 oz. tastings of North Bay craft brews as well as burlesque shows, acrobats, stilt walkers and music by Molotov and Dixie Delish of Americana Mayhem, Sambadrop Marching Band and El Radio Fantastique.  

If you want something more mellow, take in San Francisco Mandolin Orchestra’s concert Sunday at the First Church of Christ Scientist, 522 B Street. The orchestra is celebrating its 15th season with a contemplative collection of pieces including "The Fairy Queen" by Purcell, Debussy’s "Rêverie," Calace’s "Sogno," Fauré’s "Berceuse" and Saint-Saën’s "Danse Macabre." $15 general. Starts at 4pm.
