More than 1,500 Westside Residents Lose Power Sunday

Car crashes into utility pole on Sunnyslope Drive

More than 1,500 Petaluma residents lost power Sunday night after a car crashed into a phone pole on Sunnyslope Drive near G Street.

The phone pole had electrical wires inside, knocking out power from G Street to Petaluma Boulevard South and from Sunnyslope Drive south to the end of town starting 4:20pm.

Power was still out when the sun set, but was restored around 6pm, according to PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris.
