Take a walk through Newport's oldest and largest colonial cemetery, The Common Burying Ground. Join local author and historian John Brennan as he leads you through one of New England's best preserved colonial graveyards. Your expert guide will explain the symbolism of some of the intricate stone carvings as well as visiting the final resting place of some of Newport's most famous and infamous citizens from the last 350 years. Tickets can be purchased online at www.ghostsofnewport.com or at the Newport Visitors Center. Adults $17, kids 12 and under $12. The tour lasts 90 minutes and walks less than 1 mile.
