Appreciating Acorns: Honoring our Oaks
 In this season of thankfulness, take the time to celebrate the Oak Woodlands. 
Master Storyteller Ane Carla Rovetta will share the fun, folklore, and natural history, of our beloved Oaks. You will enjoy acorn cap toys, grinding stones, and savory acorn bread.


Ane Carla Rovetta’s formal training was
as a zoologist. Like the artisans of the Renaissance, she is committed to the practice of art and science as kindred disciplines. Ane Carla as spent most of her adult life unifying the two in paintings, handmade art materials, and lively public performances across the United States.                                                                                  
   Ane Carla’s skills as a storyteller are renowned. A fascination with “the essence of things” shines through everything she does.  Her unique delivery will keep you spellbound.


Ghost Supper Potluck
“A ghost supper is a feast that combines celebration and commemoration, and shows respect for our ancestors,”  The foods that you are invited to share prepare are those most enjoyed by the departed or a dish that they were remembered for making. Please bring a Story as well as a Dish!  A ceremonial fire will be lit and maintained outside supporting a time for reflection, remembrance,  and sharing your stories of the ancestors.

Parks and Recreation has a huge variety of summer camps. Kids Klub (1st-5th grade) and Camp K2Read More (6th-8th grade) are both traditional summer day camps with 1/2 day, daily and weekly options.
