TaiJi improves balance, flexibility, mental clarity, and pain management. It is enjoyable, relaxing, engaging, healthy, and fun. Long-term Tai Ji Players become more effective, higher functioning, and happier. Regular Tai Ji practice provides a routine of living that helps maintain healthy practices.
Daily Tai Ji Training has three goals:
- Learn Ji Ben Gong, basic exercises to open the body and improve flexibility.
- Introduce basic Tai Ji movements, with a focus on balance, relaxation, correct alignment, and efficient body mechanics.
- Incorporate the movements into simple single and two-person forms.
Classes are taught by Jonathan Purcell, a long time Tai Ji practitioner.
