The annual Marin American Indian Alliance (MAIA) Harvest Dinner and Silent Auction is on Saturday, November 17th, 2012
from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm

San Rafael, Calif. 94901
in the parish hall of First United Methodist Church [entrance down the ramp on the northeast side of First United Methodist Church].
Potluck supper. Coffee, tea and lemonade provided.
Please bring a dish to share.
Please bring American Indian items or crafts at 6:30 PM for the Silent Auction.

I think that showing The Hunger Games in this venue is a mistake. These outdoor family film showings…Read More do attract families, and frequently families with younger children. It would be close to child abuse to permit a younger child to watch this movie. Not so sure it would be a good idea for teens either. I believe that this choice was not well thought out. I hope it can be changed to something that would be beneficial for all ages to see. For example, I recommend a film called "Like Stars on Earth" directed by Aamir Khan. A very moving and thoughtful film.
