John Wubbenhorst and friends World Music

John Wubbenhorst is a world class musician who has released over 10 recordings and toured the world with his unique brand of world music. John's music draws heavily from his years of study of classical Indian music as well as his life long association with jazz , western classical and other world traditions. John's featured instrument is the bansuri (bamboo flute from North India) and he also plays the western flute, keyboards and vocals. John has 2 degrees in World music from the Rotterdam Conservatorium and is one of the leading western disciples of the bansuri maestro Hariprasad Chaurasia. John has appeared with many musicians both east and west including Victor Wooten, Hairprasad Chaurasia, Ramesh Mishra, Larry Coryell, Jack DeJohnette, Paul Horn and others. John is the founder of the "Facing East" group and his compositions have received acclaim throughout the world.
