Naturally, the pressure of winning is something second year Head Coach Tracy Hamm can deal with. The former Cal Golden Bear outside back has her current team looking strong at. 5-1. They play in just their second home match of the year, against Consumes River College at 3:30pm on Tuesday. One of the strengths of this years team is that they came out strong in training camp and they have gelled together nicely.
“What I love about this team is their leadership.” Head Coach Tracy Hamm said.”We don't have captains, because our 27 players step up, take accountability and they love our team culture. We have fun, we laugh allot and the girls have a great desire for self improvement.”
The team's lone defeat was the 5th game of the season, a 2-0 loss at the hands of 9th ranked in Northern California, City College of San Francisco. The Bear Cubs have scored 12 goals in 6 games and are averaging 2 goals per game. So far, they have had 51 shots on goal and average 3.5 shots per game.
