Bullying Prevention & Empowerment for Girls

Severson Sisters Super Girl Program

RESPECT

What can girls do to practice respect in their daily lives?
How can they show their peers respect?
Why is respect important in life and in relationships?
What are words we can incorporate into our daily lives that help us create a more positive self-image?

These
questions and more are covered over a 10-week period, approximately two
hours per week.  The program includes:

  • the Super Girl Guide to Respect work book
  • a Super Girl t-shirt
  • Super Girl Tote bag
  • creative supplies
  • approximately 20 hours of facilitation
The Super Girl Program gives girls skills and tools necessary to serve as positive role models in the community. The program focuses on three elements: Self-esteem enhancing tools, tips on how to develop and maintain healthyrelationships with their peers and action plans on how to handle bullying situations in life that match their personality.

Example weekly activities:

  • Super Girl Guide work book activities
  • Skits and role-playing – response to skits
  • Discussion about real-life school experiences
  • Conversations/solutions around cyber bullying
  • A true understanding about the bullying solutions that Severson Sisters offers
  • How to instill positive sisterhoods in schools
  • Confidence and compassion leadership exercises
