Barn Dance

Green String Farm in Petaluma will be the site of an old-fashioned barn dance to Benefit Heifer International from 5 to 9 p.m. April 9. The dancing, including English Country, Contra, Line and Waltzes, will be explained by a caller and is simple and will be easy to learn. Callers will be Celia Ramsey and David Hamley.  Musicians Debra Tayleur on keyboard, Judy Linsenberg on recorder, and Anne Goess on fiddle  will be featured.  There will be a special appearance by Cowboy Chuck.  Dancing is optional but the music, food and fun will be enjoyed by all. Dinner will be chili, cornbread, salad and cookies for dessert.  Beer, wine, water and apple juice will be available. Tickets are now available at $25 online at http://www.heifer.org/barndance. A limited number of tickets are available and early reservations are encouraged. Children 12 and older with parents are welcome.  For more information email: heifersonoma@gmail.com or call 707-255-3388. Green String Farm is located at 3571 Adobe Road in Petaluma.
