Petaluma Fall Trash Cleanup

Coastal Cleanup Comes to Petaluma September 15th!
The Southern Sonoma County Resource Conservation District hosts the great Petaluma Fall Trash Cleanup on September 15th in conjunction with California's statewide Coastal Cleanup Day. Partnering with Friends of the Petaluma River, Petaluma residents, neighbors, and schools will join in cleaning their own neighborhood or adopting a portion of the Petaluma River to clean up. The event will be centered on Water Street in downtown Petaluma, with check-in, cleaning tools and refreshments for volunteers. 8:30 a.m. to Noon the goal is to pick up trash  before it is carried into storm drains by winter rains. For more information and to sign up, contact Jason Sweeney, Southern Sonoma County RCD at (707) 794-1242, ext. 126.
