Build a Costume From Goodwill Finds For a Chance to Win $100

The 11 Redwood Empire Goodwill stores are holding a costume contest on Facebook.

Trick-or-treaters who find a creative Halloween costume at the Petaluma Goodwill store can score more than candy this year.

The 11 Redwood Empire Goodwill stores are holding a costume contest for getups built from items found at one of the locations. The Petaluma Goodwill store is located at 1000 Lakeville St.

A press release from the stores explains:

"Here’s how it works: Shoppers are invited to use their imagination to create Halloween costumes from treasures found at any of the 11 Goodwill ~ Redwood Empire stores located in Sonoma, Napa and Mendocino counties. Submit a photo of you, family members or friends wearing your Goodwill-inspired costume on Goodwill’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/goodwillredwoodempire). Facebook Fans are able to vote for their favorite costumes through October 31 when a Goodwill panel of judges will select four winners from the top ten photo submissions that have received the most votes. Winners will be announced in early November.

"The grand prize winner will receive $100 in cash. The second place winner will receive $50 in Goodwill Bucks with the third place winner receiving $25 in Goodwill Bucks to be used at any Goodwill ~ Redwood Empire store."
